About the Project: Technology Company
Contractor role - remote
Enterprise Architect (L5 Equivalent) with 6 to 8+ years of experience defining end-to-end systems architecture, strategic blueprints, and technical governance for large-scale enterprise transformations on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities
Embedded Technical Authority & Trusted Advisor
- Proven track record acting as a transversal technical authority across multiple workstreams (typically allocated 40%–50% across high-stakes engagements).
- Operates as a technical shield for delivery teams—resolving cross-domain architectural deadlocks, separating reversible from irreversible design decisions, and owning the architectural narrative from Presales Scoping Docs through Technical Design Documents (TDD) and Partner Knowledge Transfer (KT).
Methodological Rigor & Executive Presence
- Data-driven skepticism (auditing metrics, tracing data provenance, and interrogating dashboards rather than just reporting them).
- Exceptional executive communication skills to defend architectural trade-offs, timelines, and commercial/technical risks before C-Level/CIO/CTO stakeholders while enabling Systems Integrators (SIs) during handover phases.
Multi-Domain Technical Depth (Architecture, Data & AI, Security)
- Cloud Foundations & Security Perimeter: Deep expertise in GCP Landing Zones, hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity, VPC Service Controls, IAM, and translating strict regulatory/compliance frameworks (Banking Closed Network, Telecom regulations, LGPD/PII) into executable security perimeters.
- Agentic AI & Conversational Platforms: Practical experience architecting enterprise GenAI and multi-agent systems (Vertex AI, Agent Studio / GECX / Customer Engagement Suite, RAG with Vertex AI Search), establishing deterministic validation gates, guardrails, and separating LLM reasoning from deterministic business logic.
- Large-Scale Data & Agentic Migrations: Strong command of BigQuery internals (partitioning, slot economics, cost optimization/FinOps), Dataform, Cloud Composer, Cloud SQL, and complex migrations from legacy/cloud estates (e.g., Azure/Databricks, AWS, On-Prem) to GCP—treating data and scope reconciliation as an architectural discipline.
- Modern App & IaC Literacy: Fluency in Terraform (IaC), GKE, Cloud Run, microservices integration patterns, and code literacy (Python/Go/Java) sufficient to review production repositories, PRs, and test suites without being the primary builder.
